Meet Dr. Mohammed Hassan

Dr. Hassan completed his Bachelor of Science in biological sciences at the University of California, Irvine. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California, followed by his residency training in podiatric medicine and surgery at East Liverpool City Hospital in Ohio.

In the field of podiatry, Dr. Hassan has several abstracts and publications to his credit. He is a member of the East Liverpool City Hospital Institutional Review Board and the Northside Regional Medical Center Institutional Review Board. His professional affiliations include the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, American Society of Podiatric Surgery, American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, Ohio Foot and Ankle Medical Association, and International Bone Research Association.

In addition to his strong background in biomechanics and sports medicine pathology, Dr. Hassan offers cutting-edge treatment options, including platelet-rich plasma and ultrasound-guided injections for tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, and arthritis. He can also perform advanced procedures such as split-thickness skin grafts, intrinsic muscle harvesting for ulcer healing and limb preservations, and shockwave therapy.

Dr. Hassan takes a conservative approach to treatment before encouraging surgical options and works closely with other providers to provide comprehensive, coordinated care to all his patients. He speaks fluent Spanish, Hindi, and Urdu which allows him to treat a wider range of patients and is dedicated to continuing education opportunities in order to further refine his surgical and clinical skills.
